The Senior Associate, Finance Corporate Audit will be responsible for supporting comprehensive financial audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, company policies and Pfizer Employee Engagement Reviews (PEER) to promote a positive organizational culture. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

What You Will Achieve

The Senior Associate will participate as a member of the Finance Audit Team, supporting the following activities:   

  • Perform risk assessments related to PEER to identify higher risk culture functions/sites
  • Participate in the planning, execution and follow up of PEER, including virtual and in-person interviews and focus groups with colleagues
  • Review large amounts of qualitative information/data to determine PEER themes, synthesizing the information into draft audit reports and periodic Senior Management and Audit Committee reporting
  • Support audit and SOX engagements, including performing testing, documenting the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and drafting audit findings
  • Assist in the planning and maintenance of the team’s annual audit schedule, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate the maintenance of audit policies, procedures, and guidelines, helping ensure that they remain up to date with industry standards and best practices
  • Coordinate and help facilitate training sessions for the team, to help drive development of team members, operational efficiency and the implementation of best practices across the team

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, or Process Consulting
  • Ability to prepare financial and accounting analysis completely and accurately
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), enabling effective interaction with all levels of management
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills. Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead regional projects and other initiatives
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to actively listen, understand and digest large amounts of information to translate into reportable themes
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Strong problem-solving ability with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to think creatively with an innovative mindset and willingness to experiment. Continuous improvement mindset
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • 2+ years of experience in a people, compliance, or internal controls related role
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Information Technology exposure. Experience with AI strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to integrate across multiple and varied business areas
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to assimilate ideas and perspectives effectively

Other Job Details:

  • Work location assignment: Hybrid - onsite at NYHQ or Memphis an average of 2.5 days per week or as the business requires.
  • Flexibility in schedule may be required to support global collaboration across time zones
  • 10-15% business travel required

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $86,000.00 to $143,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
