SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As an Accountant with JPI, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations: owning the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable process from start to finish. You’ll ensure every transaction is processed with accuracy and timeliness, keeping our systems and records up to date and fully aligned with company policies. Your work will directly support smart business decisions by providing clear, real-time financial insights and identifying any deviations that need attention.

Responsibilities:

• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and effective internal control are in place

• Carry out suppliers and bank reconciliations by analyzing suppliers and bank statements in order to reconcile differences between suppliers and bank statements and our books of accounts.

• Handle all supplier payments for local and overseas vendors by preparing, checking, verifying, posting, and signing all payment vouchers to ensure compliance to payment agreed terms.

• Maintain customer receivables set and meet collection targets on a regular basis by monitoring or controlling payment behavior by controlling credit limits and terms to ensure a healthy customer receivables portfolio.

• Prepare payroll by processing salaries to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries if required.

• Assist and comply with all Sales Tax regulations as per local requirements if required.

• Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties like banks and auditors to meet audit requirements and adhere to local rules and regulations.

Required:

• A willingness to grow

• A degree or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting functions

• Familiarity with tools like MS Excel and other accounting systems (i.e., SAP, Oracle, Quickbooks, or similar)

Preferred:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Experience: 2 years of AP/AR or general accounting experience

• Certifications: Actively pursuing or holding a CPA or equivalent certification

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools; Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
