The Team

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll play an important role in delivering a range of services—from acute, chronic, residential aged care to emergency support—while being supported through training and teamwork. The Role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) at KIHHC plays a vital leadership role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with the day-to-day coordination of clinical care and operational activities. Key responsibilities include supervising and mentoring nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety, contributing to staff development, and assisting with resource management and shift planning. The ANUM also plays an active role in quality improvement initiatives and supports a positive and collaborative team culture within the unit.
You will need
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Emergency, Acute Care and Aged Care.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and supporting nursing staff in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging

Regional Allowances
- District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family
- Remote Professional Development Allowance of $4,062 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%
