Sr Staff Account

This position is located at our Bala Cynwyd office, working a hybrid schedule, 3 days onsite.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will support all general ledger workstreams within the accounting area. The position will be responsible for daily, monthly, and quarterly activities within the workstream to ensure that company books and records are accurate. This position will also be responsible for timely period end closing and accurate financial statement issuance.                                                                           

Key Responsibilities

• Performs general accounting, analysis and other related duties for the organization.
• Reconciles accounts and performs all assigned duties to meet internal and external deadlines related to the close process.
• Assists other departments to ensure accurate coding of invoices.
• Analyzes income statement accounts to ensure that all expenses are recorded timely and that appropriate accruals are set for those payments not processed timely.
• Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations and all associated journal entries as part of month-end ledger close
• Works with both internal and external auditors as part of SOX compliance and regular audit activities to gather and provide the necessary account information and documents to complete the audits timely.     
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.                                    

Education and Experience

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 1-2 years of accounting experience is required
• SAP Experience Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite is required
• Strong general ledger and account reconciliation skills
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to mange large amounts of data
