KBR is looking for a Sr. Accountant, to help support the growing team. The Senior Accountant will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and assist in the preparation of financial reports.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts.

• Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes.

• Reconciles numerous Balance Sheet accounts monthly.

• Participates in preparing financial information for the 10-Q,10-K and other SEC filings.

• Supports the external auditors by preparing schedules and responding to issues raised by the auditors.

• Communicates with regional and Chennai accountants to resolve issues and provide support and guidance.

• Analyzes financial information to interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers.

• Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.

• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

• Provides support in completing the corporate month-end closing process and prepares month-end financial statements.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Minimum five (5) years of public accounting experience.

• Experience in project accounting.

• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to analyze and evaluate financial and accounting records and identify problems.

• Knowledge of accounting and/or auditing principles, practices, concepts, and systems.

Preferred Education & Skills:

• SAP experience

• Forecasting and budgeting experience

• External reporting experience

• CPA License
