What You’ll Do

As a Pressroom RTL Tech, you’ll be part of our Pressroom team located in Willard, Ohio You’ll get to:

• Complete production activities in the Press Room, including:

• Operation of manual presses and proper stacking of parts
• Starting the line with the panel mate
• Die setting and line changeovers
• Conduct efficient robot adjustments and repair and replace components on robot arms
• Operate robots, presses, cranes, lift trucks and any other auxiliary equipment
• Administer advanced training for RTL team for both on-site and off-site facilities as needed
• Understand and ensure the safe operation of the presses, lift trucks, and other similar equipment
• Abide by all SBD Willard safety policies
• Follow all applicable ISO standards & procedures to ensure quality standards are met
• Encourage and maintain productive teamwork within the department
• Create an advanced program from a blank template
• Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• RTL Group Leader backup as needed
• All Robot Press Operator Tech activities and responsibilities
• Assist the department with advanced troubleshooting issues
• Perform departmental tasks as assigned by the Press Room Supervisor or Group Leader

Who You Are

• High School Graduate or GED
• Certified Robotic Press Operator Tech for a minimum of six months
• Advanced knowledge of the mechanical aspects of robots and RTL production is preferred
• Working knowledge of die setting, robotic setup & controls, and completing changeover jobs
• Must have a valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training
• Ability to work independently or with a group
• Trouble shooting and problem solving skills related to programming and mechanical issues
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work overtime as needed
