Job Description
Responsible for pressroom and ink lab operations. Supervision of staff throughout multiple shifts. Help with scheduling print projects. Meet and exceed department goals, expectations, and budgets. Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Workers in the press and ink department.
- Provides support, counseling and direction to employees when needed.
- Provides both positive reinforcement and discipline when needed.
- Communicate project plans with crews prior to the start of manufacturing. Verify that all necessary materials (plates, stock, ink, chemicals, etc.) are present to begin manufacturing project.
- Resolving any issues prior to the start of production
- Coordinate any changes required for accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness to Planning and Customer Service Departments
- Assist Manufacturing Manager with identifying and driving department metrics for productivity, safety and quality.
- Work closely with approved vendors to ensure that inventories for ink, coatings and press chemistry are properly maintained.
- Assist with end of month substrate inventories
- Daily review of employee time sheets, Identify any discrepancies and fix as necessary.
- Handle customer press checks as scheduled
- Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures
- Ensures employees are following safe work practices and SOP’s
- Conduct timely performance reviews of employees
- Leads effective shift meetings
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sheet fed press experience working with conventional, UV links and coatings
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D
- Must have demonstrated ability to do the jobs he/ she is supervising or to quickly gain a working knowledge of those jobs
- Must have knowledge of or be able to learn safety rules and procedures
- Must be efficient in basic computer skills.
- Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

The national pay range for this role is $62,100.00 to $109,200.00 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
