About the role
The PositionUplight is creating a new category of energy. We make software that manages energy resources in homes and businesses—including things like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, solar panels, storage batteries, heat pumps, and even people’s behavior—to generate, shift, or save energy to balance the grid, making it more efficient and reliable. This creates clean energy capacity that can be used by the power grid instead of burning more fossil fuels. Our solutions accelerate the transition to clean energy and save money for energy customers.We are seeking a Senior Revenue Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.What you get to do:
- Develop revenue budgets and forecasts across our software, service, and product business lines that we use for strategic planning by our management and board
- Partner across Uplight to strategize for our revenue and Annual Recurring Revenue growth and incorporate other teams’ goals into our revenue projections
- Analyze revenue actual-to-forecast variances and risks and opportunities to optimize our decision-making
- Drive process and system improvements to improve accuracy, automation, and timeliness of our revenue projections
- Partner with the Revenue accounting team to identify and drive revenue optimization opportunities and projects
- Supplement our pricing and margin modeling support for new customer contracts, including scenario modeling
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into details and take ownership
- Strong cross-team collaboration skills and aptitude
- Great attitude to approach and deal with challenges and change
- Desire and mindset for continuous improvement
- 4+ years of financial analyst experience, including financial projections and scenario analysis
- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to transfer analysis into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
- Software/Technology industry experience
- Developing revenue forecasts to support sales teams
- Revenue accounting knowledge
