About the Role:

The role of the Senior Manager, Benefits and Compensation US & Canada is to proactively review, develop and lead the regions’ compensation and benefits agenda to ensure Convatec has a highly attractive and retentive best-in-class approach to total rewards. You will report to the Director, Total Rewards Americas.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities 

Design and embed the Total Rewards philosophy and policies for the region  

  • Lead the development, capture and communication of Convatec’s compensation and benefits policy guidelines and governance framework as part of the transition to a new global centre of excellence for Total Rewards 
  • Manage the roll out of salary ranges and bonus levels across all key locations in collaboration with the Total Rewards team, local HR and external consultants 
  • Lead the review and benchmarking of the existing benefit offerings across all countries in the region to ensure competitiveness and review for compliance with local country requirements 
  • Advise on reward packages for critical roles and senior hires across the region as needed, providing external market guidance and pulling together internal peer comparators 
  • Manage responses to ad hoc benchmarking, out of cycle comp change requests etc.
  • Play a lead role in the preparation and validation of local HR/management input into the annual pay and bonus review process
  • Lead and administering the organization's total rewards strategy, which includes overseeing compensation programs (base pay, incentives, benchmarking) and benefits (health, welfare, retirement). 
  • Ensure legal compliance, analyze market data for competitiveness, partner with Director and senior leadership to shape strategy, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Proactive partnering with local HR to address specific pay, bonus and benefits related issues  

Benefits design and administration 

  • Design, implementation and communication of competitive, inclusive and cost-effective benefits in line with Convatec’s Total Rewards policy across the region in collaboration with local HR 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with benefit brokers, vendors and local HR to ensure they meet the necessary KPIs and administering plans correctly

Travel Requirements        

Some travel required. 

Qualifications/Education/Knowledge skills:

  • Compensation and strong benefit experience across North America  
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities, in terms of compensation data skills as well as the ability to communicate complex topics simply and effectively to managers and employees  
  • Experience in multistate benefits administration/analysis and compliance regulations
  • Track record in managing projects and programs to successful completion
  • Experience in working in complex and dynamic environments
  • Strong proficiency in reporting, Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLO
