Current Need
McKesson is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will be focused on managing our customer engagement forums within the Health Systems segment and supporting the marketing team on assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing management, data-driven marketing, and cross-functional collaboration.
How you will make an impact in this role
Customer Engagement Forums
- Partner with fellow colleagues on the marketing team and McKesson stakeholders to oversee all administrative and logistical matters related to the functioning and management of our customer engagement forums and serve as the primary point of contact during meetings.
- Plan, organize, and support meetings, including managing and directing internal staff and other key stakeholders supporting the meetings.
- Create, facilitate, and manage all presentations and meeting materials in a centralized repository.
- Draft communications to be sent before and after customer engagement forums.
Effectively Support Marketing Team on Projects as Assigned
- Work with Health Systems marketing leadership and other stakeholders to understand project goals and their alignment with business priorities, and facilitate input from field-facing teams, subject matter experts, Legal, Compliance, and others. Examples may include:
- Support research activities on customer needs and experience.
- Collaborate on enhancing customers’ experience with McKesson touchpoints (e.g., product implementation, solution-related advisory boards, customer support, etc.)
- Partnering with other marketing teams in Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services, Medical Surgical or Corporate to cross-promote our offerings, adopt product marketing best practices, etc.
Category Marketing
- Create and maintain category-specific marketing presentations and sales enablement materials.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors across Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure alignment and capture relevant feedback. Maintain a strong pulse on the business needs and objectives.
- Provide input to business unit leaders, project stakeholders and executives to lead, influence and reach consensus on business plans and strategies.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Critical Skills
- Experience working with customer forums, event management, and/or management boards.
- Product or category marketing experience
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Excellent communicator, a PowerPoint wizard, and executive presence – who succinctly and effectively gets your point across.
- Demonstrated ability to act diplomatically and respectfully when communicating with key internal and external customers and individuals of varying levels.
- Highly organized with an ability to demonstrate keen attention to details, adaptability, flexibility, resourcefulness, and efficiency.
- Highest level of integrity required for handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to spot problems before they arise, find solutions, and provide timely follow-through on projects.
- Strong interpersonal relationship and networking skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships across all areas of the organization.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to create PowerPoint and other presentations as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
