Summary:
The Director, Access Marketing, Channel Strategies Optimization is responsible for shaping an integrated access strategy for cardiovascular and immunology business units, in collaboration with key Market Access and brand matrix partners, focused on channel investments and market opportunities. The director is the primary point of contact accountable to the US immunology and cardiovascular teams, in leading and measuring pull through including collaborating with sales, account management, specialty pull-through, patient support programs, and product access.
Responsibilities:
Drive market access optimization strategy inclusive of payer access, field sales, coordinating with pharmacy channels, and patient support programs for US cardiovascular and immunology products. Ensure alignment of market access optimization with annual brand planning and launch planning.
Create focused programs on targeted data driven communications, qualitative insights and quantitative data benchmarks.
In conjunction with product access teams, develop and manage customer facing messaging with sales and account executives to improve patient journey and product accessibility at all levels of the market geography – national, regional, and local.
Collaborate with key market access functional teams such as, Pricing, Contracting, Trade and Government, Market Access Strategic Accounts, Training, and Business Insights & Analytics developing performance monitoring.
Identify insights and create action plans and tactics to address brand opportunities.
In partnership with US access and pricing strategy matrix, identify, interpret, and assess channel events and trends to improve access wins.
Integration with core data and analytic systems
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree. Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD) preferred but not required.
5-7 years in a variety of US access roles (Access Marketing, Trade, PASS, Account Executive, Access & Channel Strategy)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to drive performance within a matrix organization, and form strong, productive partnerships.
Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically about pull-through approaches within a complex access environment.
Experience in translating insights and strategies into effective tactics.
Experience and knowledge of promotional regulatory processes. Additional competencies include strategic planning, marketing analytics, cardiovascular/Immunology areas knowledge, customer / competitive insights, and seasoned judgment.
10-20% business travel requirement – internal meetings (POAs), client visits, industry conferences
