Role Summary
URBN is hiring a Programmatic Buyer. URBN’s approach to digital media is ever-evolving, and Programmatic Media is a core channel to drive efficiency and new customer growth. We are expanding our in-house center of excellence to better serve all the URBN brands (Anthropolgie, Urban Outfitters, Free People & Nuuly) with both programmatic strategy and buying. The role will collaborate with Brand Performance Marketing teams and Tech teams including Ad Operations to achieve brand goals with a focus on driving return on ad spend. The Programmatic buyer role will have a strong ability to analyze and optimize programmatic media autonomously cross channel (display, online video, audio, CTV).
Role Responsibilities
- Launch, monitor, and optimize programmatic campaigns across platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, or other DSPs
- Manage start-to-finish campaign processes such as activation timelines, pacing, billing, and performance against KPIs (e.g., CTR, CPA, ROAS, viewability)
- Translate media briefs and strategic goals into actionable buying plans
- Collaborate with brand strategy, analytics, and creative teams to align messaging and targeting
- Recommend use of advanced audience segmentation, first- and third-party data, and contextual targeting
- Pull and analyze campaign data weekly, generating actionable insights and recommendations
- Stay current on programmatic trends, inventory opportunities, and privacy changes impacting media buying
- Support vendor relationships and platform partnerships as needed
Role Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in programmatic media buying, preferably in-house or at an agency
- Proficient in one or more DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP)
- Understanding of programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs, ad exchanges, data providers, and ad verification tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and create performance reports
- Comfortable using Excel/Sheets, with familiarity in Looker, Tableau, or other BI tools a plus
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- Experience working on sophisticated e-commerce businesses
- Familiarity with tagging and ad tech tools (e.g., CM360, IAS, MOAT, Segment, Google Tag Manager)
- Experience managing multiple brands or clients simultaneously
- Knowledge of digital attribution models and measurement frameworks
