About the role

Role Summary

URBN is looking for a Senior Coordinator of International Customs Compliance to help support our global business. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for supporting the operations of the International Compliance Department, including but not limited to reviewing export documentation for completeness & accuracy, assisting in product classification, and providing support to the team and other business partners as issues arise.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead resolution of complex export compliance issues across URBN’s retail and wholesale operations, ensuring timely escalation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee and optimize data integrity within Bamboo Rose (PO Management System) to downstream systems, identifying process improvements and training opportunities.
  • Apply advanced classification knowledge across apparel, footwear, home, and beauty categories; mentor junior team members in classification methodology.
  • Support and coordinate responses to customs audits and investigations, including documentation preparation and stakeholder communication.
  • Review and validate export documentation and processes for exports from the U.S. to Retail stores and Wholesale customers globally, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Reconcile and approve customs-related invoices for Accounts Payable, identifying discrepancies and driving resolution.
  • Serve as primary liaison for inquiries from Canada Customs Broker, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, monitor compliance metrics, and support strategic decision-making.

  • Strong communicator with a flexible and adaptable approach to new challenges
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, everchanging landscape
  • Organized with an eye for detail, who can prioritize and manage their own time and workload
  • 1-3+ years customs experience preferred
