Description
The Psychology Department and the Chemistry Department at Cedar Crest College are seeking a full-time (35 hours/week, 20-15 split) Administrative Assistant to support faculty and students within the Psychology and Forensic Science programs. The Assistant maintains departmental records and databases, plans and schedules meetings and events, processes expenses, maintains office equipment and supplies, collaborates on various projects, serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, and supervises student workers to provide an enriching experience and employment-related skill development. The Assistant also supports the completion of regulatory reports, clearances, and other documentation to maintain compliance with accreditation requirements. This is a 12-month, full-time position, with a starting rate of $15.30 per hour for a 35-hour work week.
Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. The successful Assistant will have prior administrative support experience, excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience providing exceptional customer service along with a high level of confidentiality. Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time-management skills and demonstrated success with multi-tasking and successfully handling interruptions and unexpected events are essential.
