About the role

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sr. Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize Aramark’s daily fleet operations. The candidate will be responsible for the planning, procurement, maintenance, and disposal etc. of all company vehicles and assets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of fleet and asset management processes and systems, supplier management, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of fleet and asset management best practices.

 

This position can be hybrid for candidates based in or near Philadelphia, PA but can be remote for those not local to the area. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with senior management and other departments to communicate fleet performance, align strategies, and address cross-functional issues. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions that enable operations.
  • Develop and implement fleet management plans, policies, and procedures to meet the company's operational needs and financial objectives.  Lead complex fleet-related projects, such as fleet sustainability initiatives and major system integrations
  • Manage the entire vehicle lifecycle, including procurement (leasing or purchasing), registration, insurance, maintenance, repairs, and disposal in partnership with our fleet suppliers
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic relationships with key fleet suppliers, including vehicle manufacturers, fleet management companies, maintenance providers, fuel card suppliers, and data and analytics providers. Manage service level agreements to ensure optimal value and service delivery through supplier reviews
  • Develop long-term fleet plans, forecast future needs, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide reporting and analysis on fleet performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.  Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, mileage, maintenance costs, and downtime, to identify and develop initiatives for areas of improvement and cost savings.
  • Oversee organization maintenance and repair compliance for all vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and well-maintained.
  • Establish and manage the annual fleet budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to vehicle operation and safety. 
  • Implement and manage fleet management technologies to optimize vehicle utilization and asset health.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in fleet and asset management.
  • Conduct regular fleet audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage vehicle and assignment, inventory audits, and utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and implement procedures for handling vehicle collisions and incidents. Oversee the collision reporting process, work with providers and repair facilities, and ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of claims. Analyze collision data to identify trends and develop preventative measures.
  • Manage the performance of the Fleet Management company for day-to-day operational support to vehicle users, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet. This may include managing vehicle reservations, handling roadside assistance requests, and providing guidance on fleet policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred, but not required. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate fleet management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet and asset management practices.
  • Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and analytics systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAFM) are a plus.
