Role Summary:

The Global Data Analyst will support the Data Analytics and FP&A work streams within the Global  Finance, Operations and Programs Team. You will partner with Compass Leadership at various levels of the organization as well as the client. There is a requirement in the role to support  the development and maintenance of the data infrastructure platform and promote effective data validation, data cleansing and data storage practices to enable accurate reporting as well as the sourcing of  data for ad hoc analysis projects. Part of  your role will also encompass financial modeling and analysis to outline growth and determine financial opportunities and efficiencies that benefit the food programs overall.

 

This position reports into the Global Director of Finance, Strategy & Analytics and will leverage their strong financial, business and analytical skills to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, operations, hospitality, concept development, procurement, risk management, and HR), to promote financial best practices in line with Bon Appetit's standards and our clients expectations while maintaining enhanced user experience.

 

The great things you’ll do

• Financial Modeling on an adhoc or a periodical basis to support key discussion and decisions within the business .

• Develop data validation processes to ensure that the data is clean and accurate.

• Maintain and develop the data infrastructure.

• Support, manage, or directly complete ad hoc analytics, studies and special projects to support continued growth of business, financial modeling projects to add depth of understanding and accuracy to financial discussions and inform decision-making.

• Communicate any data quality issues or concerns to the Senior Data Engineer.

• Oversee preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance summary reports.

• Create and maintain reporting tools for all levels of managers, chefs, leadership and client teams.

• On-going budget support (training, model development, questions) for managers and chefs and budget development and review by location with Leadership.

• Assist with financial modeling for proformas for new cafés/programs, new food initiatives and Support Team projects to help determine operating expenses and provide guidance.

• Present information for quarterly reports and annual strategic review projects as needed.

• Process Improvement - Identify opportunities/sources for automation, and workflow improvements.

• Find innovative solutions to complex business problems. 

 

What we look for in the perfect candidate

• 4 year college degree in Business / Accounting / Analytics / Economics, and/or 5 years of experience
  working in an Analyst capacity.

• Experience using SQL.

• Experience in using Google AppScript, JavaScript, Python or other programming languages.

• Proficient in Google Workspace products including Sheets, Docs, Slides and GMail.

• Experience in dashboard design and using data visualization tools such as Google Cloud Platf
