About Houston

 

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

As a Procurement Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting, you will drive value creation, operating efficiency and competitive advantage via end-to-end category management while also building commercial intensity, maintaining operational integrity, and developing people. 

What you will do

 

  • Deliver key performance metrics including total value capture and category family return on investment (ROI)
  • Guide development and execution of consulting category strategies 
  • Manage a global team of ~10 people including Contract Managers, SOW Managers, and system specialists
  • Grow team intensity and high-grade priority commercial skills to deliver world class outcomes
  • Facilitate and support Business Line management of supplier performance and relationships
  • Drive strategic alignment with stakeholders across all business lines
  • Establish agreements with advantaged terms, best in class compensation, and strong supply security features 
  • Maintain a disciplined safety, security, and controls environment within a category family

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant Procurement experience
  • Process industry business knowledge
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities and risks in all consulting area
  • Diverse set of negotiation and influencing experiences demonstrating ability to apply principles versus just follow process
  • Excellent relationship management skills; ability to influence business-line stakeholders and suppliers
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to quickly evaluate data, generate insights, and make meaningful decisions
  • Contract development skills; knowledge of contracting and compensation approaches and their trade-offs
  • Transformational mindset; ability to drive positive change in work process, data analysis, and category approach
  • Coaching skills; ability to grow commercial skills and intensity of a global team
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Controls, planning, and stewardship skills
