Overview
Be a part of USU in Brigham City! We are looking for new members to join our team that supports local students! This position works with Interactive Broadcast instructors and students to ensure a beneficial learning environment. A typical shift is spent greeting students and community members that come to campus, troubleshooting basic technology needs, and ensuring that the building is prepared for the next day’s classes. This part-time, non-benefited position works in Brigham, UT. The position hours and days may change each semester. Daytime availability a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist students and instructors by operating classroom equipment that is essential to the delivery of telecommunication classes.
- Assist with special events as needed, such as Extension classes.
- Distribute and collect classroom materials, proctor exams and quizzes, and maintain a proper, quiet, and clean learning environment.
- Maintain accurate class rolls and attendance records.
- Act as a liaison between students, University Instructors, and University Administrators.
- Assist with reception, testing services, and assist USU-Brigham staff with various projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a basic knowledge of computers.
- Willingness to learn simple technology skills.
- Must be extremely dependable, maintain confidentiality of student information, and always work with integrity.
- Be able to communicate effectively face-to-face, over telephone, on IVC equipment and via electronic communication tools.
- Experience with operating and trouble-shooting broadcast equipment.

Advertised Salary
$12.00 per HourADA
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
