Overview
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is one of the world's premier centers for research and treatment of catastrophic diseases in children, primarily pediatric cancers. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee in the United States, St. Jude seeks to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Within St. Jude, the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
SJG is at a pivotal moment in the development of its Regional Programs, establishing hubs across the globe to improve outcomes for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases around the world. SJG is seeking a dedicated Regional Hub Program Manager to plan and execute programs and projects in the second regional hub, which will be in Johannesburg, South Africa. This hub will drive the work of SJG’s Sub-Saharan Africa Region, which has partnerships with more than 57 institutions across 14 countries in the region. The Program Manager will develop and manage regional partner relationships, work closely with the new Regional Hub Director, and oversee the Regional Programs Hub team members. Because this is a new position, the responsibilities will evolve over time, which means that the Program Manager will have an opportunity to shape their role.
