Chemours is seeking a Director of Human Resources (HR) to join our Human Resources team. This position will be available at the Wilmington, Delaware, location and report directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, HR to lead and drive the strategic HR vision for our business. In this critical leadership role, you will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, shaping and executing talent strategies that align with the company’s goals. The Director of HR will oversee all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, and compliance. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and drive organizational growth.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent across all levels of the business.
  • Oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Build and sustain a culture of engagement, collaboration, and innovation within the business.
  • Develop programs to enhance employee morale, productivity, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies across all regions of operation.
  • Mitigate HR-related risks through proactive administration of policies and practices.
  • Oversee HR budgets, systems, and tools to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform decision-making and measure the success of HR programs.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Work with the HR leadership team to proactively use technology to improve HR services.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including leading HR for a business unit or division.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting global teams or multi-regional operations is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in leveraging HR metrics to drive decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in building and sustaining a high-performing organizational culture.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in HR practices and programs.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with Workday
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
