The F117 HMC Quality team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team.  The F117 HMC performs Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of the F117 Engine in a public / private partnership with the US Air Force. 

What You Will Do:

  • The selected candidate must be able to work closely with Quality Inspectors, Process & Methods Engineers, Operations Team to support MRO Operations. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork. 
  • Communicate with various levels of management.  
  • Collect and analyze data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes. 
  • Create quality metrics to be presented at business reviews and other forums.
  • Identify opportunities for additional quality metrics to be captured and recorded to improve overall efficiency.
  • Lead the investigation of quality related work stops and turnbacks using Quality Improvement tools such as Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA); support and facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence. 
  • Manage the disposition and RRCA of quality escapes.  
  • Review and approve First Article Inspections. 
  • Lead Quality System, process, and product audits. 
  • Assist 3rd Party Audits as required .
  • Facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence. 
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Generate and modify applicable Quality System documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or business field or equivalent experience and 2 years of Quality Assurance and/or related experience.
  • This is an onsite position working at our Midwest City, Oklahoma location. 
  • Travel up to 10%. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems. 
  • Knowledge, proficiency in quality tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, GR and R, GD and T elements, etc. Experienced in driving CAR and PAR and eliminating non-conformance at the supplier level. 
  • Practical ACE/Six Sigma experience or other Lean Systems experience a plus. 
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP and MES systems such as Solumina. 
  • Familiar with FAA rules and regulations ,Particularly Par 145.
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement. 
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with cross functional teams. 
  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner. 
  • Jet Engine Manufacturing/Assembly/Overhaul experience. 
  • MS Office proficiency: Excel and PowerPoint required.
