Essential Functions:
- Under direction and in accordance with established standards provides direct patient care.
- Serves as lead worker.
- Assist physician with rounds.
- Reviews member medical records to assure that physician orders are posted, medication and member care treatment and observations are charted.
- Verify number and classification of staff available to assign/reassign.
- Confers with physicians, physical and rehabilitation therapists, other nursing staff members to plan and evaluate individual members course of treatment.
- Provides guidance and training to assigned staff.
- Administers and charts medications.
- Assess patient condition.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires (a) graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing and two years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience; OR (b) a bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; OR (c) a master's degree in nursing.
- Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

- Requires ability to pass a background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
- Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
- Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
- Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
- This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
