What Makes this Job Awesome?

  •  Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and storage areas
  • Shipping and Receiving: Accurately handle the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that orders are correctly processed and documented
  • Inventory Management: Utilize RF scanning equipment to track inventory, document movement, and ensure stock is in the correct location
  • Transportation of Materials: Safely move goods to designated areas within the facility, maintaining an organized and clutter-free environment
  • Load Optimization: Ensure that loads are properly balanced and secured to prevent damage during transport
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage, report shortages, and perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry-pickers, and other warehouse equipment to move materials efficiently
  • Shrink Wrapping and Packaging: Secure goods by shrink wrapping or packaging them appropriately for transport
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries, including tracking bills of lading, trucking manifests, and other required documentation
  • Stock Rotation: Rotate stock based on FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure the oldest items are used or shipped first

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required
  • Certifications: Valid forklift operator certificate
  • Experience: Proficiency in operating forklifts (sit-down and stand-up), cherry-pickers, automated pallet jacks, and RF scanning devices
  • Skills
    • Strong hand-eye coordination and physical ability to lift and move materials
    • Solid mathematical aptitude for weighing, counting, and tracking  inventory
    • Experience using various hand and power tools
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as necessary
