Shipping Coordinator (Weekend Material Control Processor) – Plant 10

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join Plant 10, Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI. This position will train on days and will transition to a Weekend Crew schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1:00PM to 1:00AM.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing shipment documentation
• Invoicing customers
• Preparing bills of lading for trucks and air
• Order entry and filing
• Work schedule after training period will be Weekend Crew: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1:00PM to 1:00AM (paid for 40 hours).

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years’ continuous work experience post high school
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a shipping/receiving department in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be flexible in a changing work environment and able to reorganize rapidly to changing priorities.
