Position Summary
As a Shipping Handler, you will be responsible for the supply replenishment, metering, and sorting of prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions. You will be regular packing, bulk packing, and cold packing. You will be cross trained on other shipping functions as assigned within the facility. This role will also ensure accuracy and quality standards are met when performing all shipping functions and metering prior to automated packing, and sack changing process in the Eurosort. Acts as a liaison across multiple business units for shipping best practices and problem solving.
To be successful in this role you must be able to stand for the duration of your shift, reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk and lift up to 40 lbs. During your time at CVS as a Shipping Handler you may be required to work multiple job functions in a day. We're looking for applicants to be available for the shift listed below:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:15am-2:45pm and Saturday 7:30am-4pm, Tuesday and Sunday off
Required Qualifications
Ability to read and understand English
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk and lift up-to 40 pounds
Detail oriented and task focused
Regular and predictable attendance
Colleague will be required to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Warehouse, Fulfillment Center and/or Inventory Environment
- Experience working in a Mail Order Pharmacy
Basic familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, handheld scanners)
Education
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED required
