Aerospace Business Units

Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures.  Our aerospace bearing and seal products consist of rolling element airframe bearings and bearing tooling sold under the Shafer® and Tri-Roller® brand names, Teflon lined polymeric bearings sold under the Tuflite® brand name, slotted entry, split ball and split race bearings sold under the PSI® brand name, self-lubricating machinable lined bearings and coatings sold under the Rexlon® brand name and mechanical seals sold under the Cartriseal® brand name. Gears and electrical components sold under the Micro Precision® brand name. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEMs, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM’s and through our FAA approved repair stations we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.

Brief Description

Rexnord Industries, LLC, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to provide gage and calibration support to all departments.  In this position, you can make immediate contributions in enhancing the current quality team by providing daily support in Quality related issues regarding gaging and calibration.  In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our quality processes, while contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Inspection and Calibration: Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of gages and measurement tools to ensure compliance with industry standards and maintain accuracy.
  • CMM Proficiency: Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect, validate, and measure master gages. Preferred experience with software like Zeiss Calypso or equivalent tools.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inspections, calibrations, and any adjustments made to equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and addressing issues with gages or measurement tools that could affect product quality.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with production teams and engineers to uphold and enhance quality standards across manufacturing processes.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances to validate correct gage requirements are met.
  • Gage Procurement and Scheduling: Oversee gage-related order processing, including purchasing new gages and coordinating external calibration services.

  • A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required.
  • 5+ years of Quality Experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry with a focus in conventional machining and assembly operations.
  • Solid background in metal manufacturing environment including metal cutting and grinding is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of engineering part drawings and general understanding of metallurgy; ability to understand the physical and mechanical properties of metals as affected by composition, mechanical working and heat treatments.
  • Experience working with quality systems; e.g. ISO9001, AS9100
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint as well as common ERP systems.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and formal problem-solving techniques internally and externally (Customers/Suppliers)
