This role is responsible for leading the development, refinement, and delivery of high‑impact communication products that support outreach to Veterans, media, internal stakeholders, and the general public. This role requires exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and clinical concepts into clear, accessible language.
The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with experience producing high‑visibility materials, managing content quality, and collaborating across diverse teams and subject‑matter experts. This position also plays a key role in ensuring all written content meets accuracy, professionalism, and accessibility standards.
The work:
- Lead the development and drafting of communication materials including talking points, news releases, speeches, fact sheets, media interview briefs, FAQs, and other written products.
- Serve as the lead editor for all content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style and quality standards.
- Translate complex technical and clinical information into plain language communications tailored for Veterans, media, and stakeholders.
- Develop and support communication materials such as PowerPoint presentations, email campaigns, leadership messaging, and internal updates.
- Conduct research to support message development, issue analysis, and content accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, program leaders, clinicians, technical teams, and external partners to gather information and ensure alignment.
- Maintain version control, quality assurance, and editorial consistency across all products.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements for all communication materials.
What you need:
- Proven experience writing, editing, and developing high‑impact communication products for diverse audiences.
- Strong ability to simplify and articulate complex technical or clinical content.
- Excellent research, interviewing, and information‑synthesis skills.
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Quality Assurance tools
- Section 508 Compliance requirements and tools
- Demonstrated experience in copy editing, content quality assurance, and message development.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with government agencies or public sector organizations.
- Knowledge of Veterans’ affairs, healthcare systems, or clinical environments.
- Familiarity with communication platforms and creative tools, including:
- Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Creative Suite
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
