Ivy Tech Evansville is seeking an administrative assistant to provide secretarial and clerical support to the Chairs of the following schools: Public & Social Services, Information Technology, Business, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Arts, Science, and Education, as well as to the Program Chairs and faculty within each of these schools.
Major Responsibilities:
The Administrative/Faculty Support Assistant provides clerical support including:
- Word processing of tests, special projects, typing of miscellaneous forms, and copying.
- General communications including internal emails/memos to staff/faculty, answering telephone, answering student inquiries, coordination of appointments and contacts.
- Maintain “admitted, not registered” database and process daily data reports including welcome emails to these students.
- Assist the primary administrative assistant as needed with daily tasks and special projects.
- Assist dean/faculty as needed with daily tasks and special projects.
- Contact students via phone/email/text for course registration opportunities and other communications.
- Take and transcribe minutes of schools' and/or special meetings.
- Serve on committees and attend informational meetings as assigned. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.

Hiring Range:
The salary for this role is $31,000 – 37,000 based on experience.
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30, other hours may be required during busy times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Office Administration or related field.
- At least one year of work experience with demonstrated typing ability of 60 wpm.
- Must demonstrate initiative; possess excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education experience preferred.
