Wage: $18.81
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Human Resources Generalist, provide administrative/clerical support in the day-to-day operations of Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support human resources processes by administering tests, scheduling appointments and arranging meetings as necessary; maintaining department records and information.
- Responsible for general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, faxing, mailing, filing, archiving and operating office equipment.
- Compile and maintain reports and spreadsheets as requested. Review and submit department invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy.
- Greet visitors and answer phones as needed; determine nature of business and provide information or direct to the appropriate area.
- Provide information and assist all applicants with questions regarding the on-line application process, employment policies and open positions as needed.
- Maintain inventory on all office supplies; order supplies as necessary.
- Assist with Employee Events and other associate recognition programs throughout the year.
- Assist with department projects and other areas of HR as needed.
- Adhere to employee confidentiality and comply with HR policies and federal regulations under the Privacy rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:
- Empowered to interact with employees within the organization, with Tribal Council members, Tribal members, and with the general public to accomplish the objectives of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years progressive administrative support experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license or pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Human Resources experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Ability to obtain HIPAA training and certification within probationary period.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, tribal laws, regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, and computerized information systems.
- Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including Windows Office programs.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to communicate and carry out instructions both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
- Required to sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally walk and stand and reach with arms and hands.
- Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
