Clinical Research Program Manager BJob Description Summary
The primary function of this position is to oversee research initiatives that enhance patient-centered care and outcomes for a newly awarded Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) grant. This position is focused on program management, which includes the provision of supervision and training for research coordinators on this PCORI grant, in collaboration with the Principal Investigators. They will identify gaps in the compliance of the research project in accordance to all University, regulatory, and FDA guidelines; and ensure the smooth project management of the study. The position will also participate in study team meetings and support/perform the varied activities of the clinical research coordinators as needed. Adheres to all University and other regulatory guidelines. Must have experience with research clinical trials.Please note, this position is contingent upon grant funding. Currently, this position is funded for 5 years.
This position is hybrid eligible after initial training period.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Overseeing research initiatives that enhance patient-centered care and outcomes related to this PCORI grant.
Direct and indirect supervision of research coordinators on the project, in collaboration with study Investigators.
Ensure that the study runs smoothly: oversee recruitment, assessment of subject eligibility, subject retention, progress reports for the IRB and DSMB, contribute to presentations and manuscripts, and support/perform the varied activities of the clinical research coordinator when necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience preferred.
The candidate must have 3-5 years of prior experience with research clinical trials. They must be a good communicator, detail-oriented, have project management skills, be organized, accountable, and adaptable.
