Job Description
Nevada Athletics is recruiting for a Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. This position is a key member of the athletics department’s senior leadership team and provides strategic vision and operational oversight to all areas of external relations including marketing, ticketing, and communications. In addition, this individual will have a small portfolio of donors and work collaboratively with the athletics development staff. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader and collaborator with exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic, committed to enhancing the visibility, reputation, and revenue of the athletics program
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee comprehensive marketing and promotions strategies to drive fan engagement and attendance across all sports.
Lead brand management efforts, including alignment with institutional identity and storytelling.
Oversight of all licensing initiatives and serve as the liaison with CLC
Develop and implement cross-functional plans that align with the department's mission and institutional goals.
Identify growth opportunities and create development plans for team members
Provide leadership for ticket operations, sales strategies, and customer service initiatives.
Collaborate with the ticketing team to grow ticket revenue and increase season ticket and group sales.
Provide oversight of all aspects of athletic communications, including strategy, media relations, digital content, and internal and external communications.
Provide oversight to web and broadcast content, including live streaming and video production.
Support and enhance relationships with donors, season ticket holders, and alumni through events and targeted engagement.
Partner with development staff on strategic messaging, stewardship, and campaign efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and six years of related professional or managerial experience; OR a master’s Degree and four years of related professional or managerial experience
Related Experience: Athletics administration leadership experience in the areas of operations, ticket sales, marketing, communications and donor relations or related.
