About the team
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) team is responsible for providing strategic technical guidance and architecting custom solutions for our clients, ensuring that they’re leveraging our products as effectively as possible. This role aims to increase client satisfaction and revenue through retention. You will handle project-based technical post-implementation needs as defined by Customer Success Managers, scope out use cases and custom configurations, and offer creative technical solutions supported by bespoke documentation to Alloy clients.
Alloy operates in a hybrid-work environment. We look to foster collaboration and community by having our local employees onsite twice a week, and remote employees onsite once a quarter.
What you'll be doing
As Alloy grows, we’re scaling our Technical Account Management (TAM) team to deliver strategic technical partnership at every stage of the client lifecycle. This role is focused on Partnerships – someone who can support integration partners and data service providers, scope and solution technical use cases, and act as a proactive partner ensuring joint clients adopt and optimize Alloy through those partnerships. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will be a proactive, strategic technical partner for clients, bridging the gap between Alloy’s technical depth and client outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with Partnerships Executives, Product, and Engineering to ensure clients maximize the long-term value of Alloy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scoping & Solutioning – Partner with CSMs and clients to uncover business objectives, technical requirements, and design Alloy configurations that align to future-state goals.
- Owning Technical Use Cases – Translate client needs into Alloy workflows, integrations, and architectural recommendations that drive scalability, compliance, and business value.
- Proactive Partnership – Anticipate technical needs and surface opportunities for optimization before they become issues, through roadmap alignment sessions, health checks, and usage reviews.
- Migration & Implementation Support – Where needed, guide clients through new API endpoints, SDK updates, or service migrations, ensuring best practices and avoiding technical debt.
- Driving Technical Health – Run technical account reviews, lead data deep-dives, and deliver recommendations that help clients adopt best practices and scale confidently.
- Thought Leadership – Stay current on Alloy’s evolving ecosystem and industry best
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong client-facing skills and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- 4-6 years of experience supporting or implementing complex technical products in a client-facing role
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and deliver tactical solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience scoping and solutioning API integrations and systems architecture
- Hands-on technical skills in many of the following:
- REST APIs
- SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Backend languages (Node.js preferred)
- Web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React)
- Passion for learning and applying new tools, data strategies, and best practices
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-th
