As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a major government location focused on baggage handling operations. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for all individuals on site. You will interact with staff and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations as they arise. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including baggage handling areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activities to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
