Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Support the Associate Director of Admissions Recruitment with daily operations of the Admissions Office at the Grand Rapids campus, including inventory management, promotional materials, marketing collateral, and office organization.
Coordinate and facilitate on-campus admissions visits and recruitment events at the Grand Rapids campus, such as Daily Visits, KCAD Open House, National Portfolio Day, and Orientation. Provide assistance as needed at main campus events including Dawg Days, Orientation, and Admitted Student Open House.
Manage logistics for campus events and visits, including catering orders, room reservations, and internal/external communications to ensure smooth execution.
Assist with coordination of college fair and other off-campus recruitment event coverage with the admissions recruitment team to ensure that Ferris is adequately represented when necessary.
Provide general office support, including managing the admissions email inbox, answering phone inquiries, and assisting walk-in guests.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with FERPA and all relevant laws, policies, and procedures, performing duties with a high degree of accuracy and discretion.
Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: Manage student application materials and related admissions requirements, including the review of transcripts, test scores, and other documentation. This also includes overseeing and maintaining the Slideroom application platform.
Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings for Admissions staff as needed.
Perform accurate and timely data entry into the university’s Banner system. Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with prospective and current students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (
