POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Associate Director of Institutional Training, the Training Manager of Institutional Training will be responsible for overseeing the operational function of training for sales employees in long-term care settings. This individual will lead the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of programs and initiatives that enhance and leverage knowledge of navigating long-term care environments. Partnering with sales and marketing leadership, this individual will identify needs and/or development opportunities and address them with learning solutions that enhance the personal and professional effectiveness of the sales force and sales management. This individual will also align with sales and marketing leadership in planning to launch solutions at optimal times and in overseeing the use of strategic communications to ensure maximum “uptake” of programs. Programs may include those for new hire training, existing sales force training, NSMs, POAs, and mass model activities to ensure consistency. 

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

•    Partner with marketing, sales, training, medical, regulatory, legal leadership to assess design and deliver training solutions to meet the objectives identified.
•    Execute blended training programs at new hire training, national meetings, regional meetings, and other events that support account management selling.
•    Coach, teach and train sales associates during training events.  
•    Evaluate classroom curriculum and work with training leadership to keep training current and relevant for the field.
•    Stay current with cloud-based data software, such as Point Click Care (PCC) 
•    Suggest solutions that align with the strategic priorities of the overall organization.
•    Understand the regulatory environment for each branded solution and follow proper approval processes.
•    Exemplify excellent vendor management skills for optimal and on-time, on-target solutions.

Your Skills and Experience

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 

 

Education/Certification/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree required in education, science, communications, or business-related field
•    A minimum of 3 or more years of industry experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, marketing, sales leadership, training/development
•    A minimum of 2+ years home office therapeutic training experience or field training experience

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
•    Proven understanding of hospital and long-term care facility organization and processes
•    Intimate knowledge of the relationships among sales, sales leadership, marketing, market access, and training
•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple key stakeholders
•    Demonstrated ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment
•    Ability to develop and execute strategic training and development plans 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
•    Demonstrated group facilitation and classroom presentation skills
•    Ability to perform in a high pressure, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
•    Understanding of today’s market access landscape including Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) regulations

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Approximately 35% domestic travel.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Occasional:
•    Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.

Visual Acuity:
•    Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
•    May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
