Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Planned Maintenance Leader who play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our organization's equipment through proactive maintenance planning and execution. In this role you will be an active leader promoting use of WCM/TPM, Continuous Improvement methodologies and Automation techniques while leading a team of technicians and enginners, supporting their development through coaching and training to ensure a safe working environment and efficent working practices.
The position is based in Denton, TX, USA.
You may be required to travel up to 5% for training.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States.
What you will do
As a Planned Maintenance Leader, your responsibilities will be:
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
- Champion a culture of safety awareness and ensure proper training for maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate maintenance related safety activities, systematically eradicating high risks conditions, ensuring maximum safety for PM technicians and engineers.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a technical team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure your team’s compliance for Safety, Quality and Environment.
- Establish and manage Loss intelligence systems to identify key losses to be eradicated and lead kaizens and other improvement initiatives.
- Define procedures that will enable the maintenance operation to drive DMS – Daily management Systems, improving conditions to eradicate sporadic anomalies of equipment while driving continuous improvement efforts to eradicate chronic losses.
- Implement strategies to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
- Integrate maintenance procedures and activities within the Production Process to support AM – Autonomous Maintenance, QM - Quality Maintenance and Reliability efforts.
- Drive maturity of the PM – Planned Maintenance system following company defined methodologies.
- Be part and actively contribute to the Planned Maintenance Pillar, supporting WCM growth strategies.
- Lead investigations into equipment failures and performance issues to identify root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of capital expenditure (Capex) projects, including new installations, upgrades, equipment replacements, and process improvements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and prioritize initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and budgets. Monitor and control project progress, identifying and resolving potential issues or delays.
- Manage projects budgets and provide regular reports on project financial status.
We believe you have
- Bachelors degree in Automation & Control, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Have minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, food packaging or converting industries will be a plus.
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Project management skills to coordinate maintenance projects and initiatives effectively.
- Leadership experiance, team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Past proven automation expertise will be considered a plus.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have knowledge of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques, SOPs, WCM/TPM and Continuous Improvement processes.
- Ability to communicate and interact across all levelss of the organization.
- Collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Good communication in English both written and spoken.
