Role reports to: Global Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager

Location: Summit, NJ

Travel %: 20%

Pay: $98,000.00 - $167,900.00

What you will do

The Strategic Sourcing Manager, Rigid Packaging in North America is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing policies and plans, identifying competitive sources for rigid packaging, analyzing costs, leading the bidding and supplier selection process, negotiating contracts, and refining the supplier relationship management program to achieve business goals. As the Manager, you will also measure and track performance in Rigid Packaging subcategories and work closely with relevant departments to ensure delivery of cost, quality, service, and innovation demanded by the company and its customers:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for rigid packaging in North America that
• meet business OKRs, quality and regulatory compliance needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive
• continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost, and delivery
• targets are met
• Lead the bidding, supplier selection process, as well as lead all contract negotiations and
• contract finalization
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify potential risks and
• opportunities
• Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals to achieve departmental goals and
• objectives
• Locate, research, evaluate, select and develop potential sources of materials

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement or packaging engineering
• Bachelor's degree in business, or equivalent experience
• Proven track record of driving benefits and process improvements in a fast-paced, dynamic
• environment
• Strong commercial and contract negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to
• build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead and exe
