About this role
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Team at BlackRock is seeking an experienced professional to drive the Employee Network and diversity partnerships strategy at BlackRock.
Our global networks are dynamic communities built on shared experiences, intersectionality and allyship. They are culture carriers for the firm, offering employees and allies the opportunity to enhance and shape the inclusive culture to which we aspire. You will be critical in evolving our Employee Network strategy and designing and operationalizing our network governance to enable greater impact across these communities. We have experienced a significant increase in network membership over the past years, which underscores the importance of investing in and maintaining environments where employees feel a sense of belonging.
We engage a portfolio of external partners that support our DEI strategy through building robust recruiting pipelines, engaging talent in development and networking opportunities, and providing thought leadership. You will optimize the reach and impact of our external strategic partnerships and sponsorships to support firm goals.
As a member of the DEI Talent & Culture pillar, you will collaborate closely across HR and the broader organization, to support the goals and implementation of the firm’s DEI strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads internal and external stakeholder partnerships that advance talent, community, and impact objectives for the Employee Networks
Operationalizes and scales network processes to drive efficiency and impact in network governance and implementation
Keeps current on employee network best practices, updates and trends and applies effective benchmarks to measure the impact of DEI programs and initiatives
Is responsible for the external diversity partnership strategy globally in consultation with regional liaisons, managing relationships with external vendors and amplifying their resources internally
Ensures accurate onboarding of new vendors, working cross-functionally with teams for payment and vendor management
Participates in external DEI events and advisory groups to understand trends and opportunities for BlackRock
Supports ad hoc DEI and HR projects as needed
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years related experience
Passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), employee development and engagement
Project management experience with ability to run multiple projects
Experience mobilizing communities
Possesses a self-starter work ethic yet thrives in a collaborative environment
High attention to detail
MS Office skills; particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Competencies:
Able to operate both vertical and horizontally across a large matrixed organization
Effective communication and interpersonal skills in writing, speaking, and presenting information; experience drafting and delivering presentations and communications
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence without authority; a proven ability to build strong relationships, influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the firm, across functions and across diversity dimensions
Able to navigate through ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to change
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and vendors / external partners
Identify improvements to existing programs and processes
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS in Organization Development, Business Administration, HR, Psychology or related field
