The Director, Human Resources will work with our Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) Sales team with accountability for creating, influencing, and executing on human capital strategies for the sales organization.

Function as an expert on people and organizational issues, as well as a catalyst in delivering HR solutions in order to attract, develop, and retain talent and to support the specific needs of the business groups and overall business objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop trusted partnership with the THV leaders and employees; provide HR expertise and thought partnership on talent and organizational strategies
  • Develop robust talent plans in alignment with the business objectives of the sales organization.  Drive HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent.
  • Guide, influence, and develop teams of business professionals to ensure the HR strategy for the sales organization is implemented effectively.
  • Proactively assess and diagnose organizational issues in partnership with management, to make recommendations and implement talent solutions to advance accountable businesses.
  • Function as a strategic thought partner for assigned client groups to develop and implement human resource strategy to achieve current and future business objectives.
  • Initiate, support and/or lead organizational development strategies, including change management, conflict resolution, teambuilding, executive coaching, intervention, and/or other necessary strategies.
  • You will partner closely with Edwards HR Centers of Expertise (COE) and HR Solutions in devising strategic org and talent plans and oversee execution efforts related to talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, leadership coaching and compensation.
  • Partner with HR Management or COE's to evaluate the organization's future workforce needs and recommend changes to the HR strategy and adapt existing HR programs to meet these needs.
  • Participate in the interview/selection of talent in assigned client groups and consult on compensation strategies to drive competitive offers.
  • Proactively analyze trends and metrics to identify training needs or individual executive coaching needs for assigned client group(s) and partner with COE's or Shared Service groups to develop solutions, programs and policies and participate in evaluation and monitoring of training and coaching programs to ensure success.


What you will need (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of previous related human resources experience or
  • Master's Degree or equivalent plus 10 years of previous related human resources experience

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and human resources systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influencing, consultative, and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Ability to challenge business ideas and solutions in a productive way, while maintaining a positive relationship
  • Expert knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, applying knowledge of local and federal employment laws
  • Expert negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence change
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels across the organization
  • Effective level of business literacy about the client group(s) business, financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and competition
  • Ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
