Line Engineer - Production / Operations

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics with 3-5 Yrs. experience in Automotive, Bearing, Engineering Sector. CRB/SRB experience preferred

 

Technical / Professional Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrate continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and set up time reduction.
• Ensure effective communication systems .
• Shift reporting and adherence to Process Compliance 
• Actively participate and demonstrate continual improvements and fulfilmenr of KPIs of the Cell.

 

Core Responsibilities

• Independently run all the machines in the respective cells, within established production and quality norms.
• Handling the shift and ensure effective supervision in consultation with cell manager along with the line/machines running.
• Shall adhere to and ensure proper discipline in the shift.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, KAIZEN, KANBAN,TPM & Lean flow concepts and Work Place Management, Standard Work development, maintain and improve Zone Control activities.
• Ensure effective communication systems .
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and set up time reduction.
• Actively participate along with maintenance personnel on machine qualification.
• Co-ordinate with Support departments (like maintenance, Planning, tool room, Stores, etc) during the shift as per the need.
• Shift reporting and adherence to Process Compliance.
• Hands on in solving minor adjustments & repairs in the shift.
• Communicate and resolve problems by self when needed with support of  Shift Supervisor/ Cell In charges so that production does not get affected.
• Responsible for Process and Product Trouble shooting.
• Develop other associates in machine operations and solving day-to-day problems.
• Job related reporting & documentation.

 

Accountability:

 

• Run the lines within the established production and quality norms.

• Accountable for working as per the safety guidelines and use of PPE.

• Getting work done through team of salaried & non – salaried operatives
