Market Manager - Retail and Consumer

Develop and execute market strategies and initiatives to facilitate sales growth in the Consumer channel.

Principle Accountabilities

1. Communicate between sales and other cross-functional internal and external teams to help execute growth for the Consumer channel.
2. Champion channel and customer-specific programs.
3. Facilitate new item set-up, pricing approvals, quoting and other sales support as needed.
4. Become a market expert in the customers and end users in targeted market segments.
5. Develop and execute the tools and training needed to develop and maintain sales force competency to drive new product sales and provide superior customer service.
6. Identify new sourced and manufactured products needed to grow key product lines or market segments profitably.
7. Drive cost reductions or improvement in existing product design based on changing market needs.
8. Related tasks as requested by supervisor.
9. Coordinate product development and merchandising functions based on market/customer needs.
10. Work closely with sales/marketing, product management, supply chain, and operations to obtain quotes and develop proformas and programs.
11. Execute new product launch strategies and packaging updates.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Product Management or related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Business acumen and experience managing programs and projects.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting set deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Required to travel 20% of the time.
