How will you make an impact in this role?
Join the Cyber Engineering team at American Express as a UI Developer in the Technology Risk and Information Security organization. As a key member of this team, you will have the opportunity to design and develop UI capabilities utilizing low code/no code tools, to stay ahead of the evolving cyber threat landscape and protect American Express's digital assets.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Collaborate with the team to analyze user stories, develop web applications, and deliver high-quality software products.
- Write clean, efficient code, and unit tests, and participate in code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints.
- Continuously refactor code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Drive a culture of innovation, challenge the status quo, and implement creative ideas to improve processes and products.
- Work closely with product managers, back-end developers, and other front-end developers to deliver versatile solutions to complex web development challenges.
- Manage your own time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Document technical workflows, maintain change logs, and provide training or demos to end users and business teams.
- Serve as a consultant and enabler, conducting training sessions, 1:1 guidance, and documentation, to promote low-code/no-code adoption and self-sufficiency.
- Continuously explore emerging low-code/no-code tools and recommend best-fit solutions to improve delivery speed and application performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field (or equivalent 5+ years of work experience)
- 3+ years of experience in UI development or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as Budibase, N8N, PowerApps, Retool,Ā or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience integrating and managing REST APIs and backend services.
- Strong proficiency in database systems: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL.
- Familiarity with agile development, CICD Pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Minimum Qualifications
ĀSalary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
