Manufacturing Planning Associate

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Manufacturing Planning Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by overseeing material procurement and fulfillment of manufacturing needs. The Manufacturing Planning Associate will collaborate closely with various departments to optimize production schedules, manage inventory levels, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. This position is a 6 month contract to direct hire.

• Responsibilities:
• Material Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to understand manufacturing needs and capacities.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet customer demand.
• Implement efficient planning strategies to minimize lead times and ensure on-time delivery.
• Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecasts.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand product demand variations and adjust production plans accordingly.
• Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure seamless information flow.
• Communicate any potential issues affecting production schedules and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in material procurement, production planning, and inventory management.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
