Location: IU Health Bloomington Hospital Position: Clinical Nurse - Quality Coordinator Schedule: Full-Time Day shift / Office hours 0800-1700. This is a salary position, so there is some flexibility with hours. Be a part of a Comprehensive Highly Skilled Team, providing leading-edge medicine and treatments.  Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities for assigned populations. Works independently and leads specific work groups. Performs ongoing analysis of gaps in clinical care and barriers to care, aligning interventions with the organization’s strategic plan. Facilitates the organization’s performance improvement process in collaboration with project team leaders. Conducts training and education programs for staff and physicians in performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, data processing, work simplification techniques, and related subjects. Position Overview The Clinical Nurse - Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing clinical outcomes and operational efficiency through data-driven CQI initiatives. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, analyzing performance data, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing strategies that align with organizational goals. The Coordinator serves as an educator and facilitator, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
    • Master’s Degree in clinical healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
  • Licensure:
    • Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
    • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Public Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies.
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
    • Experience in report writing, data analysis, and graphical display preferred.
    • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
