Credit Manager - Khammam

Manage and oversee all credit-related activities for the Khammam branch, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk management guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
* Approve or reject credit applications within delegated authority limits, providing clear justifications for decisions.
* Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions.
* Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with customers when necessary.
* Develop and implement strategies to minimize credit risk and bad debt.
* Prepare regular reports on credit portfolio performance, including credit exposures, collections, and provisions.
* Collaborate with sales and operations teams to facilitate smooth credit processes.
* Ensure adherence to all internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Train and mentor junior credit staff, if applicable.
* Conduct periodic reviews of credit policies and recommend improvements.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, preferably within the financial services sector.
* Proven track record of effective credit risk assessment and management.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit decisions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Thorough understanding of relevant credit regulations and compliance standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Residency or strong familiarity with the Khammam region is a plus.
