Conference Operations Associate

We are seeking early career professionals to join the Gartner Conferences Operations department in a rotational role designed for associates to discover their purpose and prepare for their next career step. While in this rotational role, associates will build valuable skills while exploring various teams dedicated to the operational delivery of Gartner Conferences. Associates will lead various parts of conference delivery including pre-conference planning, onsite execution and post-conference measurement. Associates will be supported by coaches and mentors from across the business to ensure they can build their networks and learn from tenured, high-performing associates.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead various projects supporting Gartner Conferences Operations including project development, planning, execution and measurement.
Provide onsite conference delivery support for up to 10 conferences per year in various roles aligned to multiple teams to hone skills, gain exposure and determine best fit.
Support the planning and delivery of the summer internship program including mentoring and guiding the incoming class of interns.
Support the operational delivery of conferences including attendee/exhibitor experience, logistical planning, financial management (forecasting, budgeting and reconciliation) and content planning
Develop a comprehensive understanding of Gartner’s business including the value proposition and differentiators of Gartner Conferences.
Refine skills for data management, presentation, storytelling, project management and business acumen.
Partner with a cross-functional team of peers and advisors on various projects to hone collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Build a strong personal and professional brand reputation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
0-1 years of experience with previous event, conference, tradeshow or applicable internship experience
Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities in a dynamic and collaborative work environment
Creative, innovative and strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail
Solid computer and analytical skills: Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Strong oral & written communication skills with experience presenting to audiences with the purpose of motivating or persuading
Willingness to travel, including international travel if needed (up to 30%)

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 43,200 USD - 67,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
