JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud Strategy Development:
The Cloud Architect will develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and growth plans.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement the most suitable cloud technologies and services, including AWS and Azure.
Architectural Design:
Design and architect highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.
Create detailed technical designs, diagrams, and documentation for cloud infrastructure.
Multi-Cloud Expertise:
- Leverage deep expertise in both AWS and Azure to provide guidance on platform selection and architecture best practices.
- Ensure seamless integration between AWS and Azure components.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager Templates for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
Security and Compliance:
Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security controls and compliance standards.
Stay current with industry best practices and security trends to maintain a secure cloud environment.
Cost Optimization:
Monitor cloud resource usage and implement cost optimization strategies to control expenses.
Identify opportunities for resource consolidation and optimization.
Performance Optimization:
Continuously evaluate and improve cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, developers, and operations, to deliver cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a strong background in AWS and Azure.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Solutions Architect certifications are highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of cloud computing technologies, services, and best practices.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager Templates.
Deep understanding of security and compliance standards in cloud environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with cloud technology advancements.
