Position Summary:

The principle objective of the Clinical Education Specialist is to train surgeon customers on the Imaging, Navigation and Robotics product lines based on customer needs to improve patient outcomes. Core job responsibilities will also include conducting, creating and implementing continuing clinical education and product training for the field-based support teams as well as corporate-based employees and assisting with customer activities in the field. This requires knowledge of the operating room and working within a team to support selling and training activities. Travel is required for some trainings and field activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains in depth technical knowledge of Imaging, Navigation, Robotics products as well as applicable procedures, anatomy, and implant products.

  • Provides educational support for new surgeons, OR staff and administrators during INR system installations and ongoing customer needs

  • Participates in the Train-the-Trainer process and to act as a best-practices coach to Globus field team members

  • Improves patient outcomes by ensuring surgeons and the field team are properly trained and prepared to support patients with Globus Medical products

  • Contributes to the design and improvement of the training and certification programs

  • Provides comprehensive hands on training to potential customers through cadaver bioskills labs

  • Collaborates with Training manager to create clinical and product content, processes, programs, curricula, and trainings to align with business objectives

  • Manages expenses within budget

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years clinical support or relevant experience in the healthcare industry, spine and/or navigation and robotics experience is a plus

  • Must possess a passion for training and education and be recognized as a “clinical expert”

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams and communicate in a timely manner

  • Must have strong project management and leadership skills

  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills including attention to detail

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, procedures, and evaluation criteria

  • Need Valid Passport

  • Ability to travel up to 60%
