Job Description
Our Operational Excellence MSOD Talent team is seeking a Senior Talent Management Partner to drive talent initiatives within the Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics, and Operations (MSOD) functions at Caterpillar. As part of this team, you will implement and enhance processes, programs, and practices focused on attracting, assessing, developing, and retaining top talent, aligning with enterprise standards and adapting to evolving workforce needs. In this strategic role, you will design and deploy agile talent acquisition and onboarding solutions focused on our Operations workforce, collaborating closely with our manufacturing facilities and training teams. This is a unique role in which HR processes, project management and co-creation come together to shape and advance our manufacturing facilities’ talent attraction and onboarding capabilities across Caterpillar.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with Caterpillar facilities regarding recruiting and onboarding strategies and practices that support the goals and direction of the organization, leveraging data to drive decision-making.
- Serving as a thought leader for talent management programs and technology, particularly in the recruiting and onboarding space; Providing advice and support to business and HR leaders, addressing related questions and requests.
- Assisting management in evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's talent practices and recommending improvement opportunities.
- Facilitating change management initiatives associated with talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
- Review trend analysis and utilize data for continuous program improvement.
- Act as a true business partner with stakeholders at multiple sites to help improve the onboarding and location performance for employee base.
What You Have:
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Training and Development: Knowledge of employee training and development methodologies; ability to ensure that a target population has the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic objectives.
- Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
- Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
- Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
