PayPal, Inc. seeks Data Scientist 2 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Drive data-driven decision-making for new product launches and ongoing product improvement. Identify business levers and establish cause-and-effect relationships and communicate your findings to business leads and stakeholders. Perform deep-dive analyses on key business trends from multiple perspectives and packaging your insights into easily consumable presentations. Transform key data points into clear and visually appealing insights. Engage in problem-solving and root cause analyses to determine performance trends. Support new product features by establishing robust experimentation plans and ensuring constant monitoring is in place to track product performance. Create close relationships with stakeholders to anticipate and proactively identify opportunities for product improvement or development of new features. Drive data-driven impact for product growth, using user behavior analysis to reduce friction in the product journey. Highlight opportunities to improve user experience by analyzing product funnels for onboarding, growth, and feature usage.

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Data Scientist, or a related occupation.

Additional Job Description:

Base Salary: $170,186-259,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
